Ordinary Angels” opened theatrically in February with a strong performance at the box office and positive critical reception. The film tells the true story of Sharon, a hairdresser portrayed by Academy Award-winning actress Hilary Swank, and Ed, a widowed father played by Alan Ritchson. Their paths cross during the 1994 North American cold wave, igniting a community-wide effort to secure a liver transplant for Ed’s young daughter.

Directed by Jon Gunn and penned by Meg Tilly and Kelly Fremon Craig, the movie explores themes of faith, resilience and the power of unity.

“Jon Gunn’s faith-based soul quencher feels almost heaven-sent,” wrote Randy Myers of the Boston Globe, “gracing us — just when we need it — with an uplifting, truth-based story that promotes compassion and encourages us to extend a helping hand to strangers in need.”
