How Do You Choose Your Interviewees?
We spotlight Christian risk-takers — imperfect people who create and adventure with God. World-class Christian leaders and entrepreneurs. Culture-changing pastors and professors. Blue-ribbon writers and filmmakers. Front-line musicians and mystics, top-tier journalists and social influencers, cutting-edge comedians and artists — even a magician and a former mobster, too.
We welcome diversity — in thought and theology; in experience and everything else. We respect and honor people with differing but well-reasoned and well-researched opinions. We encourage respectful discourse among folks from all parts of Christendom. However, the views and opinions expressed in our interviews and articles are solely those of the interviewees and authors and do not necessarily represent those of Rapt Interviews. Our purposes with Rapt are to bring followers of Jesus together and encourage, edify, equip and entertain our readers — so that we all may experience more of God’s goodness and love.

Does Every Interviewee Get the Same Set of Questions?
Yes, because we think it’s super interesting for our readers to see and compare how many different people answer the same questions — people from different places, backgrounds and journeys, with different natural talents and spiritual gifts. This is a unique aspect of Rapt; we believe it contributes to the richness of the experience.
How Do You Choose Your Writers? Can I Write for Rapt?
Maybe so. We look for kindred voices — and we publish original essays and run exclusive book excerpts from outside writers — two doors, both open. Our Submission Guidelines will tell you what we look for and how to knock.
Do You Sell Ads? Do You Take Affiliate Fees?
Nope. And nope. Rapt is an exercise in radical generosity, and we think both might compromise your ability to trust our suggestions and recommendations. We do, however, take donations. And if our work has impacted your faith life, we ask that you reciprocate by considering making a donation to Gather Ministries, our umbrella nonprofit.
What is Gather’s statement of faith?
We believe God exists as Father, Son and Holy Spirit — a being of unimaginable power, goodness and love. Love that sings. Love that dances. (Ps. 118:1; Ps. 145:1-9; Zeph. 3:17; Matt. 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14)
We believe the world exists because God made it — that it is his, and beautiful, and ours to cherish and care for. (Gen. 1:1; Ps. 24:1-2; Isa. 40:25-26; 1 Cor. 10:26)
We believe every human being carries God’s own image, and so carries dignity — and worth beyond our ability to measure, because he treasures us beyond our ability to fathom. (Gen. 1:27, 31; Ps. 8:3-6; John 3:16; Rom. 5:8)
We believe this world also holds pain and suffering, because we have fallen and sinned — and find ourselves estranged from God, from each other, from ourselves, even from creation. (Gen. 3:17; Rom. 3:23; Col. 1:21; Titus 3:3)
We believe sin and suffering will not get the last word. God is at work — right now — redeeming and reconciling all he has made. (Isa. 11:6-9; Col. 1:21-23; Rev. 21:1-5)
We believe God has told us the truth about himself in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments — our unique and authoritative guide for faith and action. And we believe he still speaks to anyone who will listen. (Prov. 3:6; Isa. 30:21; Matt. 4:4; John 10:27; 1 Thess. 2:13; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; Heb. 1:1-2; 3:7-8)
We believe God has shown himself most fully in his Son, Jesus — who lived, taught, died and rose again for our sakes. Jesus is our master and teacher, our savior and friend. And he reigns forever with the Father and the Holy Spirit. (John 14:6-7; Acts 2:32; 1 Cor. 15:3-4; Eph. 2:13; Col. 1:15-20; Phil. 2:5-11; 1 Tim. 2:5-6)
We believe the Spirit of God is here, now, available — so we can be closer to God than the air we breathe. Alive in our hearts. Active in the world through the gifts he gives. (John 14:26; Acts 1:8; Rom. 8:26; 1 Cor. 12:4-7; Gal. 3:14; 4:6; Eph. 1:13-14; 1 Pet. 4:10)
We believe the Church is the community through which God brings love, healing and growth to the human race — and that he invites everyone willing to follow Jesus. Everyone. (Matt. 18:18-20; John 1:12-13; Acts 1:8; Gal. 3:28; 1 Pet. 2:9)
We live in hope, because one day Jesus will return, love and justice will prevail, and God will set the world right. All shall be well. (Matt. 24:30-31; Luke 12:40; Rom. 8:37-39; Rev. 21:1-5)
