Phil Wickham’s latest album, “Song of the Saints,” arrived in September 2025, as his tenth studio release. Across 16 tracks, he mixes originals with reimagined classics — like a refreshed take on Rich Mullins’ “Awesome God” and new versions of hymns including “Because He Lives” and “Wondrous Cross.”
A standout is “What An Awesome God,” which draws from Mullins’ chorus but adds fresh lyrics and arrangement. Other singles — “The King Is In The Room,” “Homesick for Heaven” and “So So Good” — offer moments of reflection, praise and communal worship.
Wickham describes his creative posture plainly:
“Every time I step into a studio, write a song or lead people in worship, I am reminded that music is a gift — and I am so grateful for it.”
“I’ve never been more excited or proud of a record! … My heart is bursting … to sing them with people.”
Upon release, the album charted impressively: it entered at No. 2 on the Top Christian Albums chart and became one of his strongest UK debuts. As part of his 20th year in music, “Song of the Saints” feels like a milestone — grounded, heartfelt and attentive to both legacy and fresh direction.
