Tim Tebow

Tim Tebow’s latest book, “If the Tree Could Speak,” offers a familiar story from an unfamiliar angle. Instead of retelling the crucifixion through people, Tebow imagines the voice of the cross itself — the “closest thing to Jesus on that day.”

Written as a short, illustrated narrative in rhyme, the book follows a tree that once hoped for purpose and beauty, only to become a tool of execution. That tension drives the story forward. What begins in disappointment shifts when the cross encounters Christ, reframing its role from shame to redemption.

Tebow says the idea came from a moment of conviction, reflecting on whether creation itself might testify to Jesus. That question shapes the book’s tone — simple, reflective and centered on the meaning of the cross rather than the spectacle around it.

At the heart of the project is a desire to help readers see something old with clearer eyes. “My hope is that… readers will be inspired to see Jesus with new eyes,” Tebow said.

He also connects the message to everyday faith: “Christianity isn’t… a little bit better… it’s a relationship that takes you from dead to alive.”

The result is a brief but thoughtful meditation on sacrifice, identity and what it means for something broken to be made new.
