Terrian Finds Peace in a ‘Mad Big World’

Terrian is keeping her focus steady on “Mad Big World,” her new 17-track album released Aug. 21 through Gotee Records. Following her 2024 debut, “Give It Time,” the project centers on what it looks like to hold onto faith, peace and hope when life feels uncertain.

“There’s been this recurring theme the last couple of years as I’ve traveled across the U.S. and internationally: stay close to the Lord,” Terrian said. “Only he will keep my peace, joy, will and hope intact.” She describes the album as “personal devotionals in music form,” filled with reminders to keep her attention on Christ.

That theme runs through songs like “You Remain,” “This Rock Will Stand,” “Focus,” “Close” and “Oasis of Hope,” featuring Madison Ryann Ward. The album also includes collaborations with AHJAH, LIN D, Eli Soares, Rave Jesus and SON., along with “Testimony,” which Terrian released in a special version with CeCe Winans earlier this year.

Terrian also expanded the project beyond the music with a short-form microdrama starring herself, Sarah Zanotti and Eden Valor. Featuring songs from “Mad Big World,” the visual series is available on Instagram and YouTube.
