Ellie Holcomb welcomes a new season with “Spring Sings,” a children’s book that highlights the hope woven into creation. Using the turning of winter to spring as a backdrop, Holcomb reminds readers that renewal is part of God’s design. “We all know what it’s like to be in the winter seasons, and this book is a reminder that the winter never gets the final word,” she says. “Spring sings with the kind of green that reminds us that death never gets the final word. Love does!”

Illustrated by Laura Ramos, “Spring Sings” follows Holcomb’s previous books, “Who Sang the First Song?,” “Don’t Forget to Remember” and “Sounding Joy.” As with those projects, she pairs the book with a companion album, “Sing: Spring Songs,” released on March 21. The collection features seven tracks, including the original “Spring Song,” Natalie Sleeth’s “Go Now in Peace,” and a bluegrass take on “Christ the Lord is Risen Today.”
