Timothy Willard

Tim spent seven years touring the country in a band and a van before settling in Waxhaw, North Carolina, with his wife, Christine (whom the band led him to) and their three daughters. He is Rapt’s Writer-in-Residence and the author of four books, and he spent two years in Oxford writing a doctorate on beauty in the work of C.S. Lewis for King’s College London — a subject he has since made no serious effort to stop talking about. “When despair wins the Oscar,” he says, “beauty must become rebellion.”
Follow Tim down the backroads.
